VOID CHAT Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains what VOID CHAT collects, why, and how you can control it. Operator: VOID CHAT. Contact: support@voidchat.tech. Site: https://voidchat.tech. Last updated: 20 August 2026.
2. We do not sell your data
We do not sell your personal data. We do not rent, trade, or share it with data brokers or advertisers for money.
3. What we collect to sign up
To create an account we only need an email address or a phone number (plus a password, or Google / Apple sign-in). We do not require any other personal information to sign up. We do not need your government ID, address, contacts list, or precise location to create an account.
4. What you may choose to add later
If you use the App, you may add a display name, username, profile photo, bio, posts, reels, Beams, group membership, and messages. Those stay on your account so they appear when you log in on another device. You can leave them blank.
5. How we use information
We use account data to: sign you in; sync your chats, profile, groups, Beams, and follows to Firebase/Firestore so any device you log into shows the same account; send security emails (password reset); apply referral rewards you opt into; and keep the service secure (spam, abuse, fraud).
6. Cloud sync
Your account is stored in Google Firebase (Authentication + Cloud Firestore + Storage). Log in with the same email/Google/Apple account on a new phone and your cloud data loads. Local cache on a device is a copy; the cloud copy is the source of truth when you are online.
7. Messages and encryption
Direct chats are designed to be end-to-end encrypted between the devices in the conversation. We do not sell message contents. We cannot promise to read encrypted chats even if asked, except where a feature is not E2E (for example some public posts, reels, Beams, or group metadata).
8. Optional device data
Camera / photos: only when you take or pick media. Microphone: voice notes and calls. Contacts: only if you choose to find friends — we do not upload your whole address book without that action. Location: only if you share it or use anti-theft / ghost features you turn on. Notifications: a device push token so we can alert you to messages and calls.
9. Third-party processors
We use Google Firebase (Google LLC) to authenticate and store account data, and Apple for Sign in with Apple when you choose it. Those companies process data under their own terms as our processors / identity providers. We do not hand your data to advertisers to sell ads.
10. Retention and deletion
We keep account data while your account is open. Email support@voidchat.tech from your account email to delete the account. Backups may take a short time to expire. We may keep limited records needed for security, fraud, or law. Step-by-step instructions: Delete Account.
11. Children
The App is not for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. Parents who believe a child registered should email us and we will delete the account.
12. International transfers
Firebase may store data in the United States or other regions Google operates. By using the App you understand your data may be processed outside your country with the safeguards those providers offer.
13. Your rights
Depending on where you live you may ask to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or object to certain processing. Email support@voidchat.tech. We will need to verify that the request comes from the account holder.
14. Play Store / App Store data safety
Data collected: email and/or phone for account; user-generated content you upload; app activity (follows, groups you join). Data is used for app functionality and account management. Data is encrypted in transit. We do not sell data. You can request deletion.
15. Changes
We may update this Policy. The date at the top will change. Continued use means you accept the update.
